This is a cross-border round hike in mountains of medium height over a distance of 58 km / 36 miles. Most of the route is along well-trodden paths that go up valleys on gentle slopes. The steepest sections, though they are short, are the climb from Espinavell towards Coll Pregon and the descent from Coll de Malrem to Beget. The timings are for guidance and do not include stops

Walking and memory in the eastern Pyrenees

In time of war, when a people suffer fear, scarcity and oppression, mass migrations occur. Two very recent cases are the exile of Republicans at the end of Spanish Civil War and the Jewish exodus during the Second World War. While giving the cultural and historic background, we want visitors to enjoy the sporting side o the walk, as they rediscover paths and natural landscapes and all the culture associated with them.
